I received the DotStone HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter HDMI In to HDMI Out for a large discount in exchange for a social deal. This is an HDMI converter, which is supposed to make your sound quality better between all of your technology. This only comes with the adaptor, so you will need all of your HDMI cables and RCA audio cables. There is a power light on the front where you plug it in, an HDMI in port and a switch for pass, 2 channel, and 5.1 channel audio. On the back you will find the HDMI out port, the SPDIF port for an optical cable, and the L and R RCA cable ports. So you have 3 different ways you can connect your sound, especially if you have multiple devices like a sound system, DVD player, Bluray system, game system... Right now I only have our sound system and DVD player hooked up to the TV, but if we add anymore to the TV, we will probably need this box for multiple outlets. From what I was reading, I believe you can hook this box up to the splitter that I did a review on the other day, which will give you 4 options for 4 different HDMI devices. I didn't see instructions in this box, like the splitter one. Not sure if it came with one and little hands got a hold of them or just need to look online. I will be honest, I don't understand the whole idea of this yet. The information given on the box says that it supports all 3d format compatible devices and is future ready for 4k resolutions. The main goal is to synchronize audio signal separation if that makes sense to you.
