9 Inch Bread Rising Basket Product Review

I received this bread rising basket for free in exchange for a social deal review. Excited to try it out! I haven't really gotten into baking bread yet, so thought this would be something to try out and let the dough rise with. It is light weight and a cream color. It comes as a 9 inch basket and also includes a linen liner that has an elastic band in it, so it fits snuggly around the basket. It is well sewn. When pulled upward it rises about 6 inches above the basket, so plenty of room to grow. They also included a dough scraper, which of course is for scraping the dough. It is shaped so that it fits in your hand well. It is made out of rattan and doesn't have any coating on it. It is well made. When you are all done using it, you can store the scraper inside with the linen cloth pushed down in. I will update once I use it with how it performs. I can smell the bread baking already! :) MMMMMMM

Investing QuickStart Guide for Beginners By Ted D. Snow

I received the Investing QuickStart Guide for Beginners ebook by Ted D. Snow for free in exchange for a social deal honest review. I have been trying to learn more about how to invest in our retirement over the last couple years because we only have 401Ks and no pensions, so need to figure out how to find another steady income for later on. I am new to investing and don't know lots of the terminology or what to look for, but this ebook explains in very simple terms on what each thing means and how to go about looking for different ways of approaching the types of stocks and funds I list below. It also is not a get rich quick scheme. Just some helpful tips. I haven't been able to read the whole thing so far and have a ways to go, but so far it is easy to read and understand. It focuses on public stocks, ETFs, bonds, mutual funds... It takes about 4 hours to read if you don't have to keep stopping and starting with your little ones. ;)

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to invest!!! Woo hoo!!! That is great to know. Just need some guidance.

Here are some topics that are included in this ebook for a sneak peak at what you will be reading about.

These are the main types of stocks and funds that are included in the reading. It also shows you what is briefly included and what is not, so you know if you need to read it or not. :)

ZapZapMath Kindergarten App Product Review

I received a years worth of ZapZapMath Premium for free in exchange for an honest review. I am reviewing the Kindergarten app, but it goes up to 6th grade too. This is a fun app that I have been trying out over the last couple weeks with the kids and myself. There are lots of different things for players to explore like a city of buildings where you buy different objects with coins you earn. Choose and avatar and you can dress it in different outfits. Each day there is a section of daily missions and rewards that you need to accomplish. There is a video section for kids to watch on counting ,addition and positional words. It says you can download more, but it just takes me to app store, so a bit confused about this. The characters are cute and have robotic voices. It explains the directions well and you can click on a crazy haired scientist button if you forget. So far we have played an apple pie game, make the train cross on the tracks, and a memory game (fortune teller with crystal ball) using counting and addition and subtraction. You go through 5-10 levels in each game moving your spaceship across a line until you reach a star and get rewards. If you get something wrong, you lose a heart. If you get it right, you gain a heart. You can play some games for free without premium, but there are a lot more features available with premium. Your little character flies around in a spaceship visiting different planets and buildings. My little ones are still doing preschool math, so I have to sit with them and help them through the math problems, but once I explain and they do the training part, they usually get it. My 5 year old can get through Level 1-3 pretty much with no help, but my 4 year old needs help for everything. If your child is doing Kindergarten math, they should be able to do most of it themselves with the guidance of the program. There are little characters and hints that show what to do. Most of the time, the program reads out loud and writes the numbers and equations correctly. I did notice it wasn't always consistent. Like saying 7+3=10, instead of 7+3 10. Some of the explanations need to be slowed down too. I like that the program is at a natural speed though and not flashy. So far we really like playing it. They usually last about 10-15 minutes playing it each day. Something to look into for extract math practice if you are looking for something. I would try some out for free first.
